Hello brothers and sisters in Christ, and friends,

Here at 'Foundations of Evangelism, Discipleship, and Biblical Preaching' (FEDBP),

we try to expose both false teaching and false teachers - that is, teaching that doesn't

line up with God's Word. Our specific emphasis is to focus on fundamental Biblical

teaching, so that we might be able to properly identify more false teachings, and

even more - false teachers. So, with that said, on occasion, I intend to post ‘False

Teacher Reports’. And I really have 2 objectives here, 2 reasons of why I’m trying to

do this. 1) We have (in the US and abroad) so much false teaching and lessening of

God’s Word and changing of the definitions of God’s Word that the majority of us are

losing touch with what the Scriptures actually say and mean. And 2) Even if you don’t

know the particular false teacher these various reports are on, I hope you will take

away from it a clearer understanding of God’s Word as well as a sharper sense of

spiritual discernment to see through the false teaching and/or false teachers around

you.

So, with this introductory edition of exposing false teaching and false teachers, next I

will need to give you a little background on who is writing this. For those of you who

don't know me, my name is Steven Henry and I'm the main writer here at FEDBP. And

my goal here (and those on this team here) is not simply to expose error, lies, and

where God’s Word is being twisted. I don’t make any money by exposing false

teaching or false teachers. I’m just an active student of the Word of God and Jesus’

teachings, and the more I study them, the more I see His words are very true – all that

He says will come to pass. But, false teachers prevent people from getting saved so

that they can go to Heaven, and I want to rescue as many as possible. So, my

motivation behind writing these is that I seek to expose some clever false teaching

and masterful and smooth false teachers – before they destroy our more people in our

country. I also write these so that we can all sharpen our spiritual eyesight and grow

closer in our relationship with the “Holy, Holy, Holy” Creator, Judge and Lord, and

get ready to see Him in such a way that we will not be ashamed at His coming or

when we stand before Him at His Throne to give an account of our lives.

And as you are reading this, please remember that false teaching and false teachers

should be identified in 2 ways: by both what he does say/teach about God and His

Word, and by what he does not say/teach about God and His Word. In other words:

notice the verses he uses and also note the verses he doesn't use. If the way he

interprets the verse(s) he does use contradicts verses he doesn't use, take note.

Because that person is either a brother who needs to keep spiritually growing and

needs the accountability of someone to graciously point out to him a gap in his

understanding and/or teaching, or he's intentionally being a false teacher - teaching

some of God's Word with a twist, not consistent with the whole counsel of God’s

Word.

A quick YouTube video for those who want to see David Uth’s smooth message and

careful twisting of God’s Word ~ www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAJxGRatfbQ

Seeking ‘peace’ in everything most often leads to us being people-pleasers rather

than men and women who strive to please One – God. We need to remember this

verse: “The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD shall be

safe.” (Proverbs 29:25) And God, through the apostle Paul said it this way: “For do I

now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I

would not be a bondservant of Christ.” (Galatians 1:10) This video actually captures

Dave Uth pretty well, because as you see in this false teacher report, Dave carefully

crafts his words, analogies, stories, demonstrations and the verses he quotes to make

sure that none of it is ‘offensive’ – nothing that will bring Biblical conviction for sin

that would cause anyone in there to fall on their knees before a Holy God and repent,

asking God to teach them not to do that thing they know is wrong - again. No, Dave

Uth is smooth. He’s easy-going, and as I expect you’ll see in this false teacher report,

he’s also very wrong and carefully and subtly both twists God’s Word and allegorizes

it – changing it to ‘good stories’. His words and his lies are smooth, and he’s

graciously letting people, even leading, many people to Hell, rather than warning

with Jesus’ words so that they will be ready to see Jesus and not here those dreaded

words: “… Depart from Me, I never knew you, you who practice lawlessness.

(Matthew 7:21-23)

Okay, with that brief introduction and background, let’s look and see what we can

pick up from studying this false teacher with a lukewarm message, and comparing him

and his message to the literal Word of God.

“Dave says” versus God’s Words:

"You’re going to hear an appeal to go to the nations this morning. But, let me tell

you, we’re not going to the nations and neglecting the neighborhoods. We’re

going to love everyone – starting in our Jerusalem. And going beyond…"

>> Okay, so after some emotional music with no message, Dave then does a brief

setup for his speech after a few more songs. Yet, what he says here is striking. Some

of you are probably already familiar with this ‘catch-phrase’, so for those who have

heard and gotten used to the phrasing ‘our Jerusalem…’, it may seem like no big

deal. But, I know it will be especially visible to those who study God’s Word and have

never heard that phrasing. It’s very sad, but this (sadly) popular false teaching is

called “Church Replacement Theology” and it has carefully slipped into many Baptist

pulpits today.

So, um, excuse me. Just a minute – I’ve got a question. Where in the Bible did God

make Jerusalem an allegory? Well, He didn’t, right? So, why do men allegorize it?

Even more – why do pastors allegorize it? If you look on any map today, you will see

that Jerusalem is an actual city. One can physically go there and see it (which I would

like to do one day!) But, my point here is this - when men allegorize God’s Word,

we’ve got serious trouble. Why – you ask? Because when they allegorize the Word of

God, they show contempt for God’s Word and a refusal to read and teach it literally –

word for word. Yet, Jesus said: “For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth

pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is

fulfilled.” (Matthew 5:18) Jesus seems to consider His Word accurately – literally, and

even with the parables He said, there is one literal interpretation that we can pull

directly from the text, if we study them carefully. And another verse where God says

this of His Word: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for

doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the

man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2nd

Timothy 3:16) Hmm… again, it looks to me to be pretty clear that God intends for His

Word to be taught and understood literally. And, again here, God seems to, once

again, be making the same point: “And so we have the prophetic word confirmed,

which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place… knowing this

first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy

never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by

the Holy Spirit.” (2nd Peter 1:19-21) Now, just reading those words seems to be

pretty clear to me that God has no intentions of people allegorizing His Word. And to

further make this point, God says this in Proverbs 30: “Do not add to His words, lest

He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.” (Proverbs 30:6) Dave Uth knows these

verses – he’s been a teacher for a long time, at several different churches – in 3

different states. But, he apparently ignores those verses, and this one: “My brethren,

let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter

judgment.” (James 3:1) Those of us who teach God’s Word will be judged more

strictly – here, and ultimately at God’s Throne. Teaching God’s Word can be

spiritually dangerous to those who are careless with it, and twist it to excuse men and

women’s self-centered and rebellious desires. We all need to be careful on that, so

we aren’t rebuked by our Maker – here, or in the Judgment at His Throne. And we

need to be wary of teachers who do that too.

So back to the point, does Jesus intend for His Word to be understood and taught

literally? YES! And, this allegorizing of Israel and Jerusalem is why many here in the

US have no clue how to stand with Israel, as well as causing many confusion so they

do not realize that we haven’t missed the ‘catching up’ (rapture) of the church of

Jesus Christ (1st Thess. 4:17), or the Tribulation (Revelation 6-19). We’re still in the

church age (Revelation 3:14-22), and it’s not time for Satan to carry out his evil plan

yet. “And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own

time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He [the Holy Spirit]

who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way [steps aside].” (2nd

Thess. 2:6-7) So, we, who know and study God’s Word and care about Israel – we need

to stand up to those who are dividing His Land and murdering the honorable Jews and

destroying the Jewish homes on Jewish land. ‘Church-Replacement theology’ is a

subtle false teaching, but it comes out smoothly with the other flattering and

‘calming’ words and false-teachings that flow from this story-teller’s lips.

But, interestingly enough, Dave didn’t stop there with that little phrase of

allegorizing the city of Jerusalem. He mentioned Israel again later on, in the quote

below. So, in this next quote, we have skipped down past the songs and are now into

his speech. (I call it a speech not a sermon, because having seen and heard him for a

little while, I don’t believe him to be qualified to be a Biblical pastor, and that comes

out clearly later in this update.

[Dave just finished reading Genesis 12:1-3, and then said] “Let me pause right there.

God help us if we ever turn our back on Israel. God help us. Did you hear what He

said? And who are the descendants of Abraham? Jews. We are too, but first the

Jews…

>> More errors – yet they are very subtle. First off, for many years now the US

government has been forcing the honorable Israeli people to give up their homes and

allowing even pushing for more demolitions of Jewish homes on Jewish soil while

almost entirely ignoring the Arab homes and new construction projects. George W

Bush was a big drive behind the destroying of Jewish homes in 2005 – it was called the

‘expulsion’ or ‘disengagement’. * And in that one act of many, GW Bush was cursing

Israel by working hard to divide their land. And, guess what? How many Christians

spoke up about how wrong that was? Apparently, less than 10%. Why? Because they

are not keeping up with real and honest journalistic news and the pastors weren’t

honest enough to tell them what was going on. Most people watch TV ‘entertainment

news’, and they think they know what’s going on, not realizing that what’s on TV is

all about money, not reality. So the disinfo on the TV and the silence on the part of a

majority of our country’s pastors are two key reasons why most people wouldn’t at

first-glance be able to catch Mr. Uth in his little lie there. Dave Uth knows what’s

going on – he knows. He’s just acting as part of the cover-up. Many in the US gov’t

(State Dept., etc) has been going against Israel and the Jewish people since WWII, at

least. So, Mr. Uth is flat-out lying here. Please note that – it’s very important. That is

where the ‘Church Replacement Theology’ (that he hinted at earlier) leads to – a

zealous support of Israel with no clue of what’s really going on there.

And the next point that we need to see clearly in Dave’s quote above is this Biblical

definition – Gentile Christians are not Israel. Those who are genuinely followers of

Christ are grafted in - yes, yet even still they are held as different from the ethnic

Hebrew/Jewish people, and there are many verses that confirm this (Acts 15 and

Romans 14 are just 2 passages). So, Gentile Christians have not replaced Israel in

identity or in the many prophecies and promises God made to the descendants of

Abraham. To say that the Gentile believers have replaced the Jewish people is just

re-iterating another lie from the ‘Church Replacement’ false teaching. Are Christians

going to get back the Holy Land that was promised to Abraham’s children? No – those

promises weren’t to Gentile believers in Christ, but to the faithful Jewish people of

Israel. I do realize that Israel’s history has been pretty bumpy, but God will still fulfill

the promises He made to them in passages like:

But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,

says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I

will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his

neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they all shall

know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will

forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more. Thus says the LORD,

Who gives the sun for a light by day, the ordinances of the moon and the stars for

a light by night, Who disturbs the sea, and its waves roar (The LORD of hosts is His

name): If those ordinances depart from before Me, says the LORD, then the seed

of Israel shall also cease from being a nation before Me forever.

(Jeremiah 31:33-36) I believe that this passage is rightly taught as including some

details about becoming a new creation in Christ (2nd Corinthians 5:17), but it is also

clearly a promise from God to restore Israel, whom He chose as a people, to the land

that He gave to Abraham and his children as an everlasting covenant (Genesis 17:7).

And there are other verses just like this: Ezekiel 39:25-29; Joel 3:1-2; Amos 9:14-15;

Zech. 9:12-16; and Romans 11:1 (just to name a few).

Please be very careful of those that allegorize God’s Word. And work to sort through

and intentionally only listen to those who teach God’s Word literally – word-for-word.

We need to be careful not to support false teachers, while at the same time making

sure that we aren’t condemning the young and growing. As you will continue to see in

this report though, Dave is not young and deceived – he is clearly twisting the Word of

God for his own agenda(s).

So, picking up where we left off, let’s look at the next Dave quote.

We may not give a rip, but God cares for every one of those people groups.

>> Um, can I ask you a question? Can someone be a follower of Christ and not care

about people’s salvation? No. Jesus said: “If you love Me, keep My commandments…

He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is

not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.” (John 14:15, 24) And Jesus said this of His

followers: “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19) And

again: “Jesus said to him, ‘Let the [spiritually] dead bury their own dead, but you

go and preach the Kingdom of God.’” (Luke 9:60) So why did Dave just give subtle

approval to those who don’t care about others eternal salvation and spiritual growth?

Matthew 24 tells us when the end will come. I’m telling you in this verse, I can

tell you when the end of time is coming. Unlike our brother a few weeks ago, who

obviously has not read Matthew 24. You know, it would help you if you’re trying

to figure out the end of time – to read your Bible. That would just be a great help

[light laughter in the background]…

>> The point seems to be good at first-glance, except for one seemingly little detail.

Why is Mr. Uth calling Harold Camping a brother? For those who don’t remember,

Harold Camping is the false teacher who falsely prophesied that the rapture was going

to happen on May 21, 2011. When that false prophecy didn’t happen, Mr. Camping

then changed the date to October 21, 2011*. But, um, don’t hold your breath :) ~

because Jesus said: “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in

heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Take heed, watch and pray; for you do

not know when the time is.” (Mark 13:32-33)

* www.christianpost.com/news/harold-camping-breaks-silence-predicts-october-21-

doomsday-50438/

So, back to my question about Dave Uth - Why is Dave calling Mr. Camping a

‘brother’, even though Mr. Camping has proven himself to be a false prophet and a

false teacher? Has Dave not read where God says this: “When a prophet speaks in

the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the

thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously;

you shall not be afraid of him.” (Deuteronomy 18:22) God says not to listen to

prophets who lie in the name of the Lord. And when God ruled Israel, He told Moses

how to handle a false teacher and false prophet who tries to lead the people away

from the One true God in Deuteronomy 21: “Then all the men of his city shall stone

him to death with stones; so you shall put away the evil from among you, and all

Israel shall hear and fear.” (Deut. 21:21) We don’t do this today, nor am I saying we

should. But that is what God thinks of false prophets. So, again, back to my question

on this - why is Dave Uth calling false-prophet Mr. Camping a ‘brother’? I think there’s

possibly an interesting reason why he calls Mr. Camping a ‘brother’ that you’ll want to

see.

Curious, how much do you know about Freemasonry? It’s a Satanic religion with blood-oath(

s) that disguises itself as a ‘non-religious fraternity’ organization and includes

various different fraternities, like: the Masonic lodges, the Elk – Moose – Eagle Lodges,

the Rotary, Rainbow Girls and Eastern Star – just to name a few. Most mason members

do not mention masonry outside of their little clubs (because of their oath to be a

member), so most people wouldn’t recognize those who are masons, except for some

code-words they use. And, many Mason members do not know what the religion is or

how bad it is until they are very well indoctrinated and get to the highest level of

confusion and deception and lying. So, just because someone is mason doesn’t mean

they know what all they are into. But, if they are a mason, they cannot teach God’s

Word literally or they wouldn’t be allowed to stay as a member of their Masonic

lodge. So, with that said, here is my next question: curious, did you know that fellow

masons call each other ‘brothers’? It’s an interesting question if Mr. Uth is a mason.

But, it may surprise people even more to see how friendly Mr. Uth is with the masons

and we’d like show you evidence of why we’re fairly certain that Dave Uth is a mason

(though we just haven’t heard what lodge he’s a member of yet).

Here’s some evidence to consider:

David Uth’s masonry links

· 2005 Obituaries - www.bayou.com/~suelynn/genweb/obitjan05.html - Mr.

Uth performed a mason funeral (no Bible-believing pastor would have done

such, but a Masonic ‘pastor’ would.) Here’s the link that shows he was this

pastor in that area at that time – This is Mr. Uth:

www.gofbw.com/News.asp?ID=4257

· Mr. Uth’s uncle and aunt (on the wife’s side) are/were masons. That

information is seen here in Rachel’s aunt’s obituary write-up. -

https://panolawatchman.com/helen-gertrude-brillhart-patterson-p6154-73.htm

And a second piece of evidence that shows that his wife is the one referenced

in the link above -

www.firstorlando.com/Church/Our_Pastors_Staff/Pastors_and_Ministry_Leader

s/itemId/195/Dr-David-Uth-Senior-Pastor.aspx

So as you can see, Mr. Uth’s family links to masonry are interesting, but they’re not

conclusive by themselves. It is common practice for family members who are into

freemasonry to pass it down to the next generation and to share/push it with the

other members of the family – that is very common. Still those don’t quite prove Dave

Uth is a mason. But, there is another key detail that I believe pretty clearly confirms

that Mr. Uth is a mason.

· An author by the name of William Still talked to one pastor who was ostracized

by the Southern Baptist hierarchy. And, in this interview, Mr. Still quotes this

small-town pastor as saying: “‘90% of the Southern Baptist hierarchy are

freemasons. And if you wish to excel in the Southern Baptist ministry, you

have to be a mason. He said the same was true of, I believe, of both

Lutherans and Methodists.’” (this video was posted on December 11, 2007)

>> This is the YouTube video - www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT1UquRHJwk

· Another helpful resource on this is Capt. William Morgan’s book: ‘The mysteries

· And, here is David Uth’s bio in his own words:

“… Where else have you served before coming to First Orlando?

My very first church was in the mountains of southwest Arkansas in a town

called Murfreesboro when I was only 19 years old. There were only 21 people

there on my first Sunday. I pastored there for three years while I was in

college. The second church I served was First Baptist Church of Briar, Texas

and that was while I was attending seminary in Fort Worth. We stayed there

10 years before moving back to Arkansas, where I pastored First Baptist Church

of Camden. I served there four years, then moved down to Rachel’s hometown

of El Dorado, Arkansas, and pastored Immanuel Baptist Church where her

family attends. It was a great joy to pastor my in-laws. From there, I went to

First Baptist Church of West Monroe, Louisiana, where I served for almost 10

years before coming to Orlando. God used each of these wonderful churches in

my life to help me grow in His likeness and be the pastor He wants me to be…

· Another link of interest: Orlando pastor David Uth elected president of

Florida Baptist State Convention www.gofbw.com/news.asp?ID=12347

· Conclusion – David Uth is now in what many would call a ‘prestigious position’

at one of the largest churches in FL, and one of the top 100 largest in the US

(between 9,000 and 15,000 in 2011). And he’s quickly climbing the ladder in

the ‘Southern Baptist Leadership’. At ‘First Baptist Church of Orlando’ [which

some call: ‘Baptist World’ because the teaching and people are so lukewarm]

anyone can come there and not feel even an inkling of conviction for any sin.

Biblically-defined repentance is never mentioned or taught. And, David Uth’s

history proves where he is, because he’s traveled quite a bit. And, as the quote

above about Freemasons controlling the Baptist structure showed, you cannot

move up in leadership in the Baptist churches (as David Uth has done) unless

you are a mason. And you certainly cannot get into one of the large Southern

Baptist churches as their ‘senior pastor’, unless you are a mason. I believe that

Mr. Uth has been caught – in his own words.

I post this info because I’d like more info to come out about this likely mason

and for other Masonic ‘pastors’ to get caught as well. I hope that after you

read the rest of this report, you will consider sharing it with those you care

about this. Thanks for considering this request.

· If you’d like to know more about how Freemasonry contradicts the Bible,

see below at the end of this report for more info and a website.

So, if we understood Dave right about his confession that he’s a mason - this is pretty

serious. And hopefully it’s starting to make sense now to you who are reading this why

Mr. Uth likes allegorizing parts of God’s Word. Why does Dave do that? Apparently,

it’s because he doesn’t believe the Bible is accurate and holy and that God’s Word

must be understood literally, and Dave adjusts and twists it as he wants. That’s

dangerous. And in that detail alone, Mr. Uth proves himself to be unfit for the

pastoral position, because to him - pastoring is just a job. He does not take serious

the Biblical warning to teachers in James 3: “My brethren, let not many of you

become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.” (James 3:1)

Stricter judgment – both here on Earth and even more so in Heaven, before the Holy,

Holy, Holy Creator. Also, if you look more closely at how Dave runs First Baptist

Orlando, you would notice that Dave runs his church like a business. Check out this

link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-9RY-SsPAc . How can a church receive the

energy star award and consider that something to be proud of? And, since when does

a church get this kind of award – one of five. As you study it out, you will probably

find out that these 5 are not churches, they are 501c3 businesses, whose concern is

money not proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and His message. On this same

topic, insiders who know Dave Uth have told us that extra money from his ‘church-corporation’ go into his pocket.

A pastor who teaches the Bible literally is Pastor Chuck Baldwin, who points out that

government officials are to commend those who are doing what is right, deal with

those who are doing what is wrong, and uphold the law for conscience sake. One of

his recent articles points out how church-organizations that sign up with the IRS as a

501c3, are now under direct control/force of the government, obeying their orders on

what to say, what not to say and how much. That is a big reason, in addition to many

‘pastors’ being masons, of why many churches in the US today are not churches where

the whole counsel of God’s Word is taught literally and that Christ is the head of them

– they in submission to Him. Many churches in the US today are in fact businesses,

concerned mostly about money and very little about what the Word of God actually

says and our obedience to it. You will want to see his insights from his 35 years as a

lay minister in jails and prisons, and serving as a literal Bible-teaching pastor. The

article I just referred to is titled ‘Come Out of Her, My People’, and this is the link:

https://chuckbaldwinlive.com/home/?p=3859 .

Okay, back to quotes of Mr. Uth:

You see, it doesn’t matter this morning what I think. It doesn’t matter what I do.

I can walk right out of here, as I’ve said before, and shake my fist at the Heavens

and say ‘God, I don’t believe You. I don’t believe You’re faithful…’ I can say that

all I want, but it won’t change who God is. It’ll destroy my life…

>> Here again, we see Dave handling God too casually. Though it’s true that we can’t

change God’s character with our words, we can either be a part of building what God

is working on or destroying it – with our words and actions. Here, Mr. Uth just

contradicted Jesus and God’s Word, again. It does matter what we say and do. Jesus

said: “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give

account of it in the Day of Judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and

by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:36-37) And, even more Jesus

says this: “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good

to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute

you.” And God’s Word clarifies this even more in Romans: “Bless those who

persecute you; bless and do not curse.” (Romans 12:14) Here in Romans 12, God

through Paul, commanded us not to curse our enemies – why? If Dave is correct and it

doesn’t really matter what we say and our words don’t really affect anyone, then why

did God tell us not to do that? And, again in 2nd John, God talks again on this: “If

anyone [specifically a teacher] comes to you and does not bring this [correct, literal

Biblical] doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who

greets him shares in his evil deeds.” (2nd John 1:10-11) Clearly, God says in His Word

that our words and actions do influence and affect others and ourselves, so we ought

to listen to God and not those who contradict or trivialize Him or His Word. Mr. Uth’s

teaching here lacks the “fear of the Lord” and accountability, as well as being

unBiblical encouragement to lazy hands and those who are distracted on things and

pleasures of this world, rather than correcting them in love with the Word of God to

motivate them to be as faithful as they can be. Mr. Uth is very wrong here and Jesus’

words correct him. Remember, Jesus said: “Watch therefore, for you do not know

when the Master of the house [Jesus] is coming--in the evening, at midnight, at

the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning-- lest, coming suddenly, he find you

sleeping. And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!” (Mark 13:35-37) And again,

Jesus said: “Blessed is that servant whom his Master [Jesus], when he comes, will

find so doing.” (Matthew 24:46) Both of these verses show that Dave Uth is just giving

approval to lazy hands and to those who don’t believe and are not actively growing in

obedience to the Word of God. Dave Uth is continuing to lessen and soften God’s

commands, proving himself a liar. And, in these several few quotes, we will continue

to see that.

I mean, think about it guys, as a church this morning, what we decide to do with

what I’m going to share with you in a moment. What we decide to do is not going

to change God’s plan, He’s going to be faithful – why? He promised it. It’s just He

invites us to join Him. He invites us to be in on this – it’ll bless our life, or on the

converse, it’ll destroy our life if we choose to walk in disobedience to what God

has told His people to do. But, you might as well be throwing snowballs at Hell if

think you’re going to change something God has ordained. I mean throw a cotton

ball at the Rock of Gibraltar and see if it does anything. No. Our God is faithful.

The thing that tells about us is this – God’s faithfulness demands my

faithfulness.

>> That is one confusing mix of Biblical teaching and psychology – one of the most

clever I’ve seen. But, did you notice what’s missing? Dave completely missed

something – God’s faithfulness doesn’t demand my faithfulness to be kind to the world

and win them without words to be fond of Jesus (which is the message that Dave is

saying here). God’s faithfulness and holiness demands your and my obedience. As God

says: “… as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in

your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your

conduct, because it is written, ‘Be holy, for I am holy.’” (1st Peter 1:16) Yes, God is

going to be faithful to His Word. But if we aren’t faithful, it may just prove that we

don’t even know Him. “He who does not love Me, does not keep My words.” (John

14:21) Anyone can go through the motions on any given day and look good to almost

everyone around them, yet Jesus said that He will say to many “Depart from Me…” ~

Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven,

but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. Many will say to Me in that day,

'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name,

and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never

knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' Therefore whoever

hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who

built his house on the rock…” (Matthew 7:21-24)

The question this morning is not if God is faithful – [the question is] are you

faithful? Are we, as the people of God, faithful? That’s the question. And that’s

where I need to talk to you. God has been stirring in me lately about this. And

you know we have the heart of – oh my goodness, we have such a great heart.

After yesterday, I walked away again with that Winston Churchill quote – hear

me. Hear me carefully: ‘It is the church who has the heart of a lion, I just get the

privilege of giving the roar.’ Guys, this church has the heart of a lion.

>> Wow – so much for using Scripture to make his point, not that his point was worth

making in that way. But, did you also notice that he used flattery and not Bible verses

to compel people to obey? But wait – I hope you’ll keep reading, because it gets more

bizarre!

But, God has been convicting me about something. And I want to share that with

you. When Jesus said – the last thing He told us is to go make disciples of all

nations. He didn’t say go win as many people as possible. See this is not about

lost-ness – it’s about access. Are there lost people here in Orlando? Absolutely.

Are we going to continue to try to reach them? Absolutely. But, what you and I’ve

got to understand is that people drive by churches everyday here [in the US].

We’re talking about 3800 people groups who never see a church. They don’t even

know what a church is. Cause they don’t have any access to the gospel at all. And

Jesus said you’re to go to everyone of them, to give them opportunity to become

disciples and followers of Christ.

>> Wait, wait. What did Jesus say we are to reach people with – the world’s version of

‘love’ or His truth? Remember Jesus’ last words were: “Go therefore and make

disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the

Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have

commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

(Matthew 28:19-20) We need to catch this - notice, Jesus did not say go set up

churches. Jesus told us to teach His Word. Building replicas of American churches in

other countries must not be any emphasis at all. If Jesus’ teachings are clearly

taught, then small groups of believers will start to form and as long as they are

continuing to grow spiritually, it will grow from there – deeper spiritually despite

numbers. But forming groups so we can boast about numbers of how many churches

we’ve planted is a far cry different from what Jesus taught us to do. In today’s age,

those are 2 different things – teaching God’s Word and planting replicas of American

churches. Also, Jesus didn’t just say to call out Jesus’ name wherever we go and hope

someone gets saved. While, it is the work of the Holy Spirit to draw a person (John

6:44), Jesus also taught us how to proclaim the Gospel in one of the parables that He

told: “Then the Master said to the servant, 'Go out into the highways and hedges,

and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.’” (Luke 14:23) ~ Notice

the Master (Jesus Christ) didn’t give a passive suggestion, He gave an emphatic

command, as He also did in Matthew 28:19-20, commonly called the ‘Great

Commission’ or great sending. And, taking the gospel has nothing to do with access

and everything to do with repentance and salvation. “Repent therefore and be

converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may

come from the presence of the Lord…” (Acts 3:19) That is the message we take:

repentance and obedient faith and submission to Jesus Christ, our Master and Savior.

Dave’s church is full of those who are not saved – as you talk with them, you quickly

find that many there are spiritually lifeless - hardly caring about God’s Word or trying

to obey Christ. And that is a good setup for what Dave Uth did next.

And by the way, I need to do something – John would you help me? Would you

guys…? You guys up here on the front row, I just felt real impressed. I just want

to thank you for being here – sitting on the front row. I’ve got some money for

you. Maybe it will buy you a Starbucks or something. Thank you guys so much.

Hey John – John. They’re not on the front row. [inaudible] No, that’s all right –

they don’t get one. Just these guys right here. They’re on the front row. Okay.

[laughter] And, you know what – give them another one. Give them another one.

You guys need some more. In fact, can you give them $5 each just for being here?

Thank you guys. [pause] Have any of you back there had the thought – what

about us? [laughter] Did anybody have that thought go through your mind? Like –

why’s he giving it to the front row? What about us? Guess what? There are people

on the planet Earth who are asking the same question. What about us? You see –

the reason I did that is because I want you to see what it’s like when we don’t go

to those on the back row. When we don’t offer the goodness of the Lord and the

gospel of Jesus Christ to those that have never heard – it doesn’t make sense. It’s

a disobedient act on the part of the body of Christ. And, by the way, you’ve all

got to give that money back. That was just a – that was an illustration. [lots of

laughter]. I’m just kidding – keep the money [more laughter]. In fact, go back to

the back row and give somebody a dollar. [laughter]

>> Wow. Did you catch that? Dave used a little demonstration to entertain and stir up

the emotions of his hearers with a worldly incentive to do what he was saying he

wants them to do. But, what a Bible teacher would be doing is showing what God says

and using God’s Word to make the point. I hope you are starting to see that Dave is

only tickling itching ears and doesn’t want to ‘offend’ anyone with the tough truth of

God’s Word.

Let’s look at this a little deeper. The reason the common Christmas celebrations are a

spiritual disaster is because they are built around the lusts and selfish desires of this

world. ‘Give me! Give me!’ - with shallow lip-service to Christ. But Jesus said you

can’t serve two masters. So, American X-mas celebration is given almost completely

over to covetousness, not about thanking Christ for coming and taking up our crosses

and following Christ. If you understand that teaching right there, then that should

help you see that Dave Uth is only flattering his hearers with approval to their

covetous lifestyle. Dave’s message contradicts Christ and is a different gospel. God

warns people like Dave against teaching a false easy-gospel in Galatians 1: “But even

if we, or an angel from Heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have

preached to you, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8)

Dave’s conclusion to his speech:

It’s a call to the back. So, God has been putting on my heart – we’ve got to go to

the back row. I mean, we keep going to places over and over that have had the

gospel. But what about those 3800 – who’s going to reach them? Well let me tell

ya – to whom much has been given, and we’ve been given a bunch – much is

required. So it’s time, we as First Baptist Orlando say we’re going to the back

row – to take the gospel to at least one of those groups. [applause]. Yeah, let’s

give the Lord praise, because that’s where we’re going.

>> If only Dave were talking about taking the message of Jesus Christ to them… and

he capped his speech up with a fleshly boast, rather than a “if the Lord wills, we will

do…” (James 4:15)

Conclusion

Though there are many key Biblical principles noted in this report, I hope you one key

one has stood out – the value of reading the Bible, taking and applying it literally, and

letting God be your Teacher rather than spending much time reading books. This is

also why we need to sort through the variety of people who call themselves Bible

teachers to find and only value those who literally teach God’s Word, not their own

thoughts, because many don’t either understand God’s Word literally, or teach God’s

Word literally. And, those teachers who do not know or teach God’s Word literally are

easy tools for Satan to cause confusion on a lot of things, even if they get a few things

‘right’.

So, there you have it. One of the most popular Baptist leaders of our day – allegorizing

God’s Word, calling a false prophet a ‘brother, and twisting God’s Word to make it

more comforting to the rebellious hearts. This is the sad situation we have in this

country. The saddest part is that the Southern Baptists (as a group) have largely fallen

to Freemasonry domination. If you’d like to know more about Freemasonry, here are

So, back to Dave Uth. His smooth-sounding teaching and flattery words are spiritually

dangerous, for he refuses to teach the Whole counsel of the Word of God to lead

people to genuine repentance and salvation in Christ. And yet, Dave is just one of

many, many Baptist pastors who are doing the very same thing. So, how do we correct

this problem?

First off, we need to identify who is literally teaching God’s Word and distinguish

them from those who are just telling stories. Then, we will need to work to plead

with those who are telling stories and twisting Scripture - to repent and teach God’s

Word accurately. If they refuse, we will need to actively work to remove and replace

them with those who will take the Bible seriously and work to teach it literally.

There’s no other way to solve this other than that. And, as we see this process take

its course and God’s Word is once again proclaimed without hesitation, we will start

to see a genuine (not showy) revival in this country, and genuine repentance come to

many. That is what I strongly desire to see, and that is why I write this and other

reports and Bible studies.

To those of you who are currently Bible teachers now and are reading this report,

please – I plead with you – do not learn the ways of Dave Uth and those like him.

Please, take passages like this next one very seriously, and daily make sure that

pastoring is not a ‘job’ to you and that your church is not a ‘business corporation’,

but a calling from God to which you pledge to be aiming to be faithful to till your final

breath. “So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel;

therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me. When I say

to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you shall surely die!' and you do not speak to warn

the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I

will require at your hand. Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his

way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have

delivered your soul.” (Ezekiel 33:7-9)

So, if as you’ve been reading this, you don’t remember the Gospel (or Good News)

that Jesus taught, please allow me to remind you – because I want to see you in

Heaven one day.

In John 14, Jesus said: “‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the

Father except through Me.” (John 14:6) One path – through Christ – no other way. No

other way, including Muslims who don’t repent, Mormons that don’t repent, Catholics,

Freemasons, Protestants, Lutherans, Episcopals, Baptists, and non-denominationalists

who don’t repent and become genuine followers of Christ. There’s only one way, it’s

through Christ – the real Christ of the Bible. And notice – it’s not on our terms, but on

His terms: “but by Me.”. Let me give you the literal translation of this verse really

quick for it emphasizes this point even better. “Jesus is saying to Him: ‘I AM the

Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one is coming toward the Father, if not

through Me.’” That is where Joel errs. Joel really wants an all-friendly ‘god’ and not

the God of the Bible. Joel wants to explain away God’s consequences for sinful

rebellion instead of getting ready to meet his maker one day.

And to clarify it further, Jesus more clearly defined this narrow path through Him.

Here are 3 passages. “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is

the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because

narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few

who find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)

>> Please notice 2 phrases of Jesus’ words: “many go in by it [wide gate, broad

path]” – many go in by the wide path, the easy path, the path that allows you to bring

all of your and my selfish self-interests, pride – ego, our vain and short-sighted

temporary earthly wants and pleasures, laziness and lust for whatever makes us

happy. But, notice where that broad path goes: “… broad is the way that leads to

destruction…” Don’t go there – it leads to eternal torment. Instead find out what

about Jesus’ narrow path that “leads to life and there are few who find it.” Did you

catch that? Not only do few enter it, but few even find this path that leads to eternal

life. Why? There are 2 reasons – 1) they are not looking in the right place, and 2) they

are not willing to give up their own rebellious beliefs and selfish wants so that they

might be saved from Hell and be in Heaven with God’s wonderful personality and

presence forever.

Okay we’ve looked at one passage, but we need to look at 2 other passages to get

what Jesus said. “Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the

Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. Many will

say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out

demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will

declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice

lawlessness!'” (Matthew 7:21-23)

>> Again, please note the word “many”. This is Jesus talking. This is still part of His

sermon on the Mount of Olives in Israel. Just because you or I say that we know God

doesn’t mean that He knows us. And just because we say that we love Jesus doesn’t

mean that we are His children or adopted by Him out of Satan’s family into God’s

family. And just because we go to church, sing some superficial ‘I love you’ songs, and

hear a peppy message that makes us feel good – doesn’t mean that we are saved.

Notice these people were doing much more than the average church-goer. They were

doing miracles and healings (real ones, not fake like most of what Benny Hinn and

others like him do). These people that Jesus was talking to were apparently teaching

God’s Word, probably pretty well. And, even more, they were doing something that

almost no church-goers today ever do – casting out demons. Most people today love

witchcraft so much, because they can use the demons to get just about whatever they

want without consequences (or so they think…) So, they’d never cast out demons from

people and free them from that evil oppressive bondage. Yet, the people Jesus is

referring to here will have done that – they will have freed people from the

oppressive bondage of demon-possession. And yet, look at what Jesus says to them: “I

never knew you.” Ouch. And He says further: “Depart from Me…!” I believe these

are some of the most chilling words in all of Scripture, because many walking and

talking all around us will hear these words. But, wait. Why would Jesus say this to

them? Look at Jesus’ last few words in verse 23: “you who practice lawlessness.

And, there we find the catch. These people thought they could do a few trinkets for

God and live for themselves, only to find Jesus say to them – Depart, I never knew

you, because you practice and enjoy lawlessness.

>> If my cautions here cause you concern and help you to realize that you are not

100% sure that you’d be in Heaven – good! There’s still hope for your soul! Because,

those who are genuinely saved are growing obedience to Christ’s commands (John

14:15, 24) and they have the confirmation of the Holy Spirit that they are saved

(Romans 8:16). “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test

yourselves.” (2nd Corinthians 13:5) And don’t stop examining yourself and praying,

pleading with God to save you until you know you are saved, because if and when you

become saved, the difference will be clear – not on the outside (at first) but on the

inside. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have

passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2nd Corinthians 5:17) And

another verse of comfort is in Romans 8 – “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our

spirit that we are children of God.” (Romans 8:16) ~ Those who are genuinely saved

have the Holy Spirit inside of them and He confirms that we are saved, as well as

teaching us daily how to be closer to God and walk in more obedient fellowship with

Him.

In John 14, Jesus gave a quick test for us to check ourselves by: “If you love Me, keep

My commandments… He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the

word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.” (John 14:15, 24)

Now, with those passages in mind, we still need to see one more passage that sums up

Jesus’ teaching here and helps further clarify it. “When He had called the people to

Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, ‘Whoever desires to come after

Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever

desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the

gospel's will save it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and

loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever

is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the

Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the

holy angels.’” (Mark 8:34-38)

Our new life in Christ has to start with one word: repentance. “Do you think that

they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you,

no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:5)

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that

times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” (Acts 3:19)

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever

believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send

His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him

might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not

believe is condemned already… And this is the condemnation, that the Light

[Jesus] has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light,

because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the Light and

does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the

truth comes to the Light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been

done in God.” (John 3:16-21)

Another helpful one is 1st John 1 “This is the message which we have heard from

Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no shade of evil at all. If we

say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not

practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have

fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us

from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is

not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins and

to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1st John 1:5-9)

So, what should you start with? First thing is you and I have to repent of your rebellion

against God. That's where it starts. You have to hate how you've done what you know

is wrong without caring that it's wrong. That's both a starting point and a continual

process. And, you need to ask God to teach you His ways and re-arrange your life -

making His Word your priority and spending quality time in it - daily.

Next, you'll want to learn to talk to Him about everything and work on a perspective

that includes Him in every detail of your life - holding nothing back. And, you'll want

to find a group of believers whom you can talk about the Bible and how to please God

in the details of life, as well as removing friends who try to distract you from pleasing

Christ or at least diminish their influence in your life. ~ These things will take time.

But, as you continue to grow in these things, you will see God molding you into His

image, and you will also see that He can use you because you, especially as you are

trying to carefully and intentionally grow in obedience to Him and His Word -

confessing when you see you're wrong, and starting again, doing what you know is

right.

If this encourages you, you're welcome to share it or message me. If this false teacher

report has raised many questions for you and you’d like to get some answers, just

email me: Steven.H3 @ gmail.com (remove spaces). I’d love to hear from you and I’ll

be glad to help you as best as I can. Also, a good next step for you, is for you to spend

time reading the book of 1st John. If you don’t know where that is, check the index –

it’s one of the last books in your Bible. Read it every day for a month. And ask God to

show you more about Who He is, how you’re really doing, and how you can draw

closer to Him and grow in obedience to Him and His Word.
